The fully functioned remote has all the information on the screen that the laser has. Check grade and rotation from the cab of your machine, put in sleep mode when you are not using to preserve battery power. Change grade settings on the fly if you think you may be too deep or shallow.

And it has a receiver with a dual sided display which lets you face the laser and read the reciever at the same time. 

It’s a great combination laser for interior or exterior construction – a visible red beam, horizontal and vertical automatic levelling with a full function wireless LCD remote control. Easy to operate with horizontal, vertical, dual plumb (up and down) and with dual grade capabilities to +/- 10% in both X and Y axes.
